Miniature Shipping Manifesto Time!

Yeah, I totally ship Mycroft/Eric.  Here’s why:

- Look at the way they greet one another - “Mycroft!”   “Eric!”
No one calls Mycroft by his first name except for Sherlock, John and Anthea.  It’s always ‘sir’ or ‘Mr. Holmes’ or something else more respectful.  Mycroft isn’t Eric’s superior, or Eric would be calling him ‘sir.’  Eric isn’t Mycroft’s superior, or Mycroft would be calling him ’sir.’  No, they’re close.  Close enough for Eric to have first-name privileges even in front of visitors.

- Their outfits coordinate.  No, seriously.  Look at those ties.  They totally woke up together and planned to wear complementing outfits because they knew they’d be working together that day.  You know it’s true.

- They mirror each other when they sit.  Mycroft crosses his left leg over his right; Eric crosses his right leg over his left.  You know, so that they can sit closer together when they’re alone together.  They probably sit leaning against each other to read the paper together and play ‘spot-the-government-cover-story.’

- Look at the way they look at each other in that middle picture.  That’s a whole shipping manifesto right there.  Just.  Look.

The new episode of Sherlock is like a harbour from which brand new ships sail into the recesses of Tumblr.
